Operations Supervisor
About the role
The Operations Supervisor is a frontline leadership role responsible for translating UNIS’s technology-enabled logistics strategy into consistent, safe, and reliable warehouse execution at the Roanoke, TX facility. This position owns the performance of a designated shift or functional area across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping operations, ensuring that customer service commitments, throughput targets, and quality standards are achieved on a daily basis. As a critical connector between associates on the floor, cross-functional partners (such as transportation, inventory control, and customer service), and site/operations management, the Operations Supervisor ensures that people, processes, and systems are aligned. The role balances hands-on leadership with data-driven decision making, leveraging WMS, performance metrics, and AI-enabled tools to optimize labor utilization, resolve constraints in real time, and drive continuous improvement. Success in this role is evidenced by a safe, compliant, and highly engaged workforce, stable and predictable operations, and measurable contributions to cost-efficiency, service reliability, and customer satisfaction.

- Directly supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates, including assigning work, providing on-the-floor guidance, conducting performance and attendance discussions, reinforcing safety and quality standards, and taking timely corrective actions to build an accountable and high-performing team.
- Conduct pre- and post-shift meetings to communicate daily priorities, process changes, safety topics, and performance expectations; ensure information flows effectively between associates, peer supervisors, and management, and that issues impacting service or safety are escalated and resolved promptly.
