Operations Supervisor

About the Role

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe and cost-effective use of the facility equipment and labor. Ensure all staff comply with Inland’s policy of superior service and satisfaction while maintaining compliance with all written company and Government rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of daily operations, providing leadership and coaching to increase overall safety, performance, maintenance, flight operations, facility requirements, and customer service for the assigned deicing location.
• Assist the General Manager and/or Operations Manager with station audits.
• Provide information needed for airline deicing reports and handle all airline and FAA questions/concerns as required.
• Ensure aircraft are deiced properly and airline manual requirements are met.
• Communicate airline manual updates to employees and coordinate with the General Manager and/or Operations Manager on investigations of security issues and accident reviews.

Requirements

• 5 years of Airport/Airline or similar industry operational experience with a background in safety and regulatory compliance with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• College Degree or combination of higher learning or related professional experience.
• Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de/anti-icing training.
• Intermediate computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• A valid driver’s license is required.

Work Environment

• Office: Potential of remaining seated for extended periods; continuous use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.
• Warehouse: Physically strenuous, prolonged standing with exposure to noise (may be excessive), safe but potentially unpleasant odors, varying temperatures and humidity, and heavy moving equipment.
• Outdoor: Prolonged standing with exposure to prevalent weather, dust, dirt, fuel, fumes, noise, heavy equipment, and moving vehicles.
• Exposure to hazards inherent in airport operations, including noise, vehicles, equipment, and weather, all managed with training, personal protective equipment, and safety procedures.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 55 pounds at times (not in excess of 75 pounds).
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to squat, stoop, kneel, bend, stretch, and crawl in awkward positions.
