Supervises the daily operations of warehouse associates in an assigned department, partnering with the Department Manager or Operations Manager to support fulfillment-center results.
Responsibilities
- Keep accurate records of assigned department (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, Returns).
- Conduct routine audits and alert Manager of any irregularities in product inventory or processes (e.g., count and location errors, shortages, damages).
- Maintain facility organization, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Identify and address safety hazards.
- Oversee the entire production flow, including unloading, staging, and put-away of merchandise and materials.
- Perform cycle counts and evaluate product placement, storage bins, and expiration management.
- Provide direction, assign responsibilities, and motivate the team to achieve department goals.
- Encourage growth through skill development, goal setting, and regular performance reviews.
- Hold direct reports accountable for performance standards and departmental goals.
- Resolve employee issues effectively and consistently.
- Communicate fulfillment-center, network, and corporate information during daily start-up meetings.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes creativity, teamwork, and recognition.
- Support location and network activities designed to strengthen teamwork and morale.
- Train and coach Warehouse associates.
- Determine proper staffing levels to maintain productivity.
- Participate in the performance review process, recommend promotions, and identify needs for disciplinary action.
- Review and correct timecards for accurate payroll submission.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as business needs arise.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 or more years in a Patterson Fulfillment Center or equivalent experience.
- Proven soft skills: analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in prioritizing and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Previous experience with SAP and inventory management systems.
- Previous management experience.
Working Conditions
- Material and equipment used: general warehouse equipment, general office equipment, MS Office, shipping software, and proprietary inventory management software.
- Physical demands: moving 75% of the time; frequent grasping, reaching, bending, and stooping in narrow/confined spaces; lifting and carrying up to 55 pounds (team lift 56 to 100 pounds); continuous, moderate, or occasional heavy physical activity; standing or walking for more than 6 hours per day; forklift operation.
- Environmental factors: warehouse setting with pallet storage racking, roller storage, small-item shelving, powered conveyor systems, pallet jacks, and forklifts; safety equipment provided as needed.
- Travel and on-call: minimum two trips per year within the United States; part of the emergency response team with on-call responsibilities.
Pay
$25.72 - $33.45 per hour. The final offer may exceed this range based on candidate location, experience, and skills.
Schedule
2nd Shift – Start time: 11:31 AM. Starting rate: $26.50 + $1.00 shift differential.
