About the Role
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for maintaining high service standards across assigned locations, promoting a safety-first culture, and improving operational efficiency. This position reports to the Regional Area Manager and works closely with leadership to support business growth, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
Responsibilities
- Operations Leadership: Maintain and enforce operational standards related to customer service, facility maintenance, vehicle readiness, and employee training.
- Team Supervision: Lead, coach, and develop drivers, technicians, and yard employees while reinforcing accountability, safety, and company values.
- Customer Support: Assist with customer deliveries, service work, and installations when needed to support operational requirements.
- Safety Leadership: Conduct safety meetings, enforce company policies, investigate accidents and injuries, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Facility Management: Maintain clean, organized, and professional facilities that comply with company standards and applicable safety regulations.
- After-Hours Support: Participate in after-hours and emergency response coverage as required.
- Employee Development: Partner with leadership to provide training, performance coaching, and career-development opportunities.
- Operational Performance: Monitor productivity, service quality, scheduling, staffing, and other key performance indicators.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in operations, service, logistics, or a related field.
- Previous supervisory or team-leadership experience preferred.
- Facility management experience is a plus.
- CETP certifications in service and delivery, or the ability to obtain them.
- Valid Class B CDL with HazMat and Tank Vehicle endorsements, or the ability to obtain the required licensing.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to coach, train, and hold frontline employees accountable.
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, customer service, and workplace safety.
Work Environment
This position involves direct customer interaction, field and facility operations, and occasional travel between locations. Flexible scheduling, including after-hours availability, may be required based on operational and customer needs.
