Primary Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a production team of up to 15 employees to meet daily safety, quality, and output targets.
- Oversee 1st shift manufacturing operations to ensure efficient workflow, on-time delivery, and adherence to production schedules.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company safety policies and maintaining a hazard-free work environment.
- Monitor production processes and implement corrective actions to reduce scrap, downtime, and rework.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, root cause analysis, and structured problem solving.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including documentation, audits, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Partner with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to resolve production issues and optimize processes.
- Utilize ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools to track production metrics, analyze data trends, and generate reports.
- Lead daily team meetings and support employee engagement through clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Cookbook and mentor employees to improve performance, develop skills, and build bench strength.
- Maintain training matrices and ensure workforce capability aligns with current and future production needs.
- Support workplace organization initiatives, including 5S and standardized work practices.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing or production supervision, including direct team leadership.
- Strong understanding of quality control systems and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and driving operational efficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HVAC or related manufacturing industries.
- Training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Operational Excellence.
- Experience supporting or leading safety programs.
- Familiarity with UL/Intertek certification requirements.
- Experience in mixed-model or high-volume manufacturing environments.
