Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for a team of entry-level production employees to ensure customer demand is met
- Coordinate production activities to support daily distribution requirements, including local delivery routes and shuttle operations
- Lead reliability, compliance, quality, and safety initiatives to meet government and environmental regulations
- Ensure team members are trained and committed to Linde Safety and Quality systems, coordinating training with the Compliance Manager
- Monitor production outputs and staffing levels to maintain efficiency, anticipate problems, and develop contingency plans
- Communicate and collaborate with first shift counterpart to ensure smooth operations and effective shift handoffs
- Identify operational issues and lead improvement initiatives related to production processes, shift schedules, and training, reporting activities to plant management
- Oversee inventory levels, manage equipment and product quality issues, and support 5S and Lean Projects to reduce operating costs through Operational Excellence strategies
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; bachelor degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an industrial plant environment with at least 2 years of leading and developing a team
- Experience working in, and/or managing within a union environment is strongly preferred

Pay
$80,000 - $95,000 yearly, based on experience
