Operations Supervisor

About the Role

As Warehouse Supervisor, you will operate in a safe, yet extremely high-paced, fluid environment. You must have the ability to safely optimize people and technology while ensuring quality in everything we do. You are responsible for the daily oversight of warehouse employees and ensuring compliance with all company policies.

Responsibilities

• Effectively and safely supervise the day-to-day shift operations of one or more warehouse areas of responsibility (AOR), including selecting, loading, shipping, receiving, safety, sanitation, replenishment, and product storage processes in Grocery, Perishables, or Freezer environments.
• Manage and supervise the daily activities of Warehouse Associates in fulfilling customer orders and general warehouse operations.
• Instruct and provide oversight to Warehouse Associates in proper execution of all established quality, safety, and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with Shift Manager to develop employee performance development plans (PDPs); coach, mentor, and guide Associates in executing PDPs.
• Utilize progressive coaching and counseling concepts to provide continuous feedback on performance, increase employee retention, and improve employee relations.
• Manage to set KPIs: Safety, Retention, Productivity, Budget, and Quality (Shrink).
• Conduct Safety, Quality, Shrink, and Operational audits, encouraging ownership of audit results among Associates.
• Conduct accident investigations per company guidelines, documenting findings with discretion and judgment.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of related warehouse experience.
• Team Lead or Supervisory experience managing 15+ associates is highly desired.
• Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems, voice recognition, inventory control, or labor management is a plus.
• Ability to safely and efficiently move merchandise weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree - General Studies,
• Bachelor's Degree - General Studies,
• General Equivalency Diploma - General Studies, or
• High School Diploma - General Studies.
