Operations Supervisor

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Establish and uphold a work environment dedicated to trust and respect
• Ensure safe operation and preventive maintenance of heavy equipment
• Operate Intelligent GPS machine grade controls and automatics
• Drive business results through data-based decisions at every level
• Empower and engage operators
• Set vision and establish objectives for the department
• Recommend and implement approved changes in methods or procedures
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents, or violations
• Prepare production reports, transfer of material reports, malfunctioning equipment reports, and all other MRP and labor hour reports as required
• Assist in the investigation, reporting, and initiation of corrective actions for accidents, job-related injuries, and employee discrepancies
• Demonstrate proficient verbal and written English communication skills
• Serve as back-up driver and equipment operator as needed

Requirements

• CDL B (preferred)
• Equipment operator experience (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• College degree (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisor, team lead, or foreman experience
• Experience managing drivers

Schedule

• Home daily, Monday–Friday
• 50–60 hours per week
