Operations Supervisor
About the Role
To lead and support one of four operations team employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance by guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They serve as the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.
Mill operations will be carried out year-round, 24 hours per day, pausing only for necessary maintenance downtime.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence.
- Communicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to employees.
- Encourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing.
- Identify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth.
- Promote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work.
- Support shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down.
- Be visible and engaged in the field.
- Make decisions under pressure to ensure zero harm to people’s health, safety, and the environment.
- Act as the first point of reference for all HSEC-related questions, issues, or concerns among the operating crew.
- Serve as the senior leader on-site during night and weekend shifts.
- Address minor maintenance items as encountered and communicate major maintenance needs through SAP and verbally to the maintenance department.
- Improve the skill set of all operators on the crew through coaching and communication.
- Engage with crew members to dissolve potential conflicts before they escalate.
- Engage regularly with operations and maintenance through HSEC interactions.
- Demonstrate Eagle HSEC leadership to contractors while they are on site at the mill.
- Facilitate training of operators where required.
- Develop testing modules and refresher training to continually improve qualified operators’ skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ten (10) or more years of mill operations experience preferred.
- Firmly demonstrated commitment to safety.
- Experience with large crews of people with various levels of expertise preferred.

HSEC Accountabilities
Everyone in the workplace is responsible for their own safety and the safety of their co-workers. Employees must perform all tasks in accordance with relevant HSEC Site Procedures to work safely and keep the workplace safe. Specifically, all employees must:
- Accept personal responsibility for HSEC.
- Identify hazards, unsafe actions, and conditions that could result in damage to property, injury, or impacts to the environment and community.
- Obey instructions issued to protect personal health and safety, as well as the health and safety of others, the environment, and the community.
- Report any situations where HSEC requirements are not being met within their work area to their manager.
- Avoid endangering any other person through any act or omission.
- Only use equipment they are trained to use and operate it safely, protecting the environment and avoiding undue community impacts.
- Participate in HSEC training provided to them.
- Report all incidents, including but not limited to injuries, near misses, community interactions and impacts, environmental impacts, spills, and unsafe work practices.
