About the role
The Operations Supervisor oversees day-to-day activities in Production/Warehousing/Distribution/Logistics to maximize efficiency, manages floor staff, and enforces safety rules. They lead the development and implementation of activities in production and organization areas to meet production/shipping goals, quality, cost objectives, and satisfy delivery expectations.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish manufacturing and fulfillment staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, motivating, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; setting staff goals; evaluating performance; identifying and developing personal growth opportunities.
- Oversee and manage production, fulfillment, and/or shipping plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Delegating as required.
- Provide manufacturing, service repair, and shipping information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records, data and KPIs, answering questions and responding to requests.
- Sustain quality processes by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Responding to quality audits and action items.
- Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in 6S Program.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience: Operations Manufacturing, Service Repair, and/or Distribution Logistics environment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced operations/warehouse/fulfillment settings.
- Proven experience in supervisory, coaching, managing processes in a fast-paced environment, continuous improvement, process improvement, tracking budget expenses, key performance indicators (KPIs), production planning, strategic planning, dealing with complexity, financial planning and strategy, manufacturing, and fulfillment processing.
- Solid understanding of data analysis and process improvement methods (Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 6S Program).
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or College degree relevant to business, supply chain, logistics preferred.
- APICS Certification preferred.
- Good working knowledge of SAP and BOM (Bill of Materials) structure and purpose.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

- Walk and stand on even surfaces for up to 6 hours in one working stretch.
