Operations Supervisor
About the role
Clemens Food Group's Hatfield Main facility is a more than 1 million-square-foot fresh pork harvest and fabrication operation producing the raw and fresh pork products at the foundation of our business. With the capacity to harvest up to 12,000 hogs per day, the facility produces approximately 650 million pounds of pork annually and operates at a scale that gives leaders broad exposure across the fresh pork value stream.
Responsibilities
- Own performance across safety, food safety, quality, production, labor, yield, schedule attainment, and operational KPIs.
- Lead daily execution across picnic boning and baby back rib production while coordinating work that affects Trim Blend, Marinate, Cryovac, and other downstream areas.
- Maintain a strong production-floor presence, actively coach Team Members and Team Leads, and ensure new hires progress through knife training at the right pace.
- Partner with Quality Assurance, Food Safety, Sanitation, Safety, Sales, Materials Management, Trades, and other Operations teams to solve problems and improve overall performance.
Requirements
- At least three years of supervisory or people-leadership experience in production, manufacturing, distribution, retail operations, or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Previous food manufacturing experience preferred, with meat or protein processing experience strongly preferred.
- Retail meat department leadership is also highly relevant.
- Candidates from other complex, high-volume operational environments with strong transferable leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large teams, manage KPIs, coach performance, develop people, and deliver daily operating results.
- A people-first leadership style with the ability to build trust, speak straight, manage conflict, and explain the why behind expectations.
- A self-driven approach with a bias for action, strong sense of urgency, and ability to anticipate and respond to changing production needs.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: At least three years of supervisory or people-leadership experience in production, manufacturing, distribution, retail operations, or a similarly fast-paced environment.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and motivate teams, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of food safety standards.

Schedule
On-site Schedule: Rotating 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. start times.
