Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure employees follow all appropriate safety procedures and have all necessary PPE to perform their role in a safe manner
• Create and maintain production schedules
• Ensure output meets quality standards
• Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
• Improve and maintain a steady flow of material through operations proactively communicating any schedule shortfalls
• Drive continuous process improvement to increase safety, quality and operations performance through implementation of Lean Principles
• Manage operations supervisors to ensure KPI metric boards are maintained
• Responsible for coaching and development of the operations leadership team
• Full accountability and ownership of your team’s development, trusting employee relations, projects follow up, execution of targets
• Develop and communicate needs for staffing labor plan adjustments to meet production targets
• Ensure production floor areas are kept clean and organized
• Actively involved in the hiring, evaluation, and the coaching processes for department employees
• Foster a healthy relationship with employees by treating them fairly and with respect

Qualifications

• Mining experience of at least 5 years
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
• Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication
• Excellent organization and leadership skills
• Strong decision-making skills and results-driven approach
• Leverage Lean Principles: Problem Solving, Flow, Standard Work, Kanban, SM
