Responsibilities
- Provides leadership and direction daily to the shift team.
- Ensures the safe daily execution of the Production Plan.
- Drives a continuous improvement and learner mindset with the team and peers.
- Optimizes the production plan and resolves conflicts with other teams including Lab, Packaging, Truck Rack, Maintenance, Blending, and Planning.
- Led consistent implementation of plantwide policies, work processes, procedures, and practices.
- Fosters compliance, intervention, and respect within the HSSE Management System.
- Ensures operations adhere to GSAP-defined processes.
- Carries out Continuous Improvement activities including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventative Actions.
- Manages and minimizes inventory variance and value leakage, tracks and reports material usage and waste.
- Supports increased digitalization of processes for improved performance and efficiency.
- Assures required competencies are in place or works with team members to develop competence.
- Participates in incident reviews, understanding root causes and playing a key leadership role in mitigating recurrence.
- Helps support and improve work procedures and processes.
- Escalates issues when necessary.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, manufacturing, engineering, or relevant experience.
- Previous experience in blending, bulk loading, and packaging motor oils and/or chemicals is desirable.
- Strong commitment to Goal Zero and proven record of accomplishment on HSSE leadership/competences.
- Proven ability to develop and lead teams, and coach and develop people.
- Proven change management skills.
- Ardent team player with effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with production targets while motivating the team and valuing them.
- PowerBI and LocStatt familiarity is a plus.
- Experience managing a unionized workforce is desirable.
