Operations Supervisor-1

About the role

This Operations Supervisor role is for Remote Event Processing. The successful candidate will exercise good judgment, make sound business decisions, and manage inventory levels alongside evolving customer requirements. The role emphasizes high-quality work, efficient production, and fostering sustainable employee engagement with a customer-centric mindset. This leader will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager of Event Processing within Verra Mobility's Government Solutions division and assist in developing training materials for incoming processors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and motivate employees through strong communication, timely feedback, coaching, and meaningful performance reviews.
• Manage day-to-day operations by monitoring inventory levels and forecasts to ensure adequate staffing for meeting or exceeding customer-specific SLA requirements.
• Create a work environment where employees feel valued and engaged.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1 sessions and team meetings or huddles.
• Work with leadership and Human Resources to address employee performance or behavior issues promptly.
• Track attendance and tardiness; administer progressive discipline for attendance, performance, or behavior issues.
• Strengthen working relationships with internal departments, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Serve as a change-agent to implement process and organizational changes across the department.
• Engage in service recovery activities to address escalated customer issues via in-person, phone, or email communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of leadership experience; previous supervisor experience is a plus.
• Ability to develop and engage employees effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Professionalism and ability to work well with others.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, both internal and external.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quality-driven with a strong attention to detail.
