Operations Supervisor-1

About the Role

This Operations Supervisor role is for Remote Event Processing within Verra Mobility’s Government Solutions division. The successful candidate will lead a team, manage day-to-day operations, ensure high-quality work, and maintain a customer-centric mindset. This leader will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager of Event Processing and assist in developing training materials for incoming processors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and motivate employees through strong communication, timely feedback, coaching, and meaningful performance reviews.
• Manage day-to-day business operations, monitor inventory levels, and forecast staffing needs to meet or exceed customer-specific SLA requirements.
• Foster a work environment where employees feel highly valued and engaged.
• Conduct regular 1-on-1 sessions and team meetings to ensure clear communication.
• Address sensitive employee performance or behavior issues in collaboration with leadership and Human Resources.
• Track attendance and tardiness, and provide progressive discipline as needed.
• Strengthen working relationships with internal departments, customers, and third-party vendors.
• Serve as a change-agent to implement process and organizational improvements.
• Engage in service recovery activities to address escalated customer issues via in-person, phone, or email communications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of leadership experience; previous supervisor experience is a plus.
• Ability to develop and engage employees effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Quality-driven with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
