The Operations Staff Attorney will support meaningful legal work focused on helping individuals and families navigate complex immigration processes. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with immigration law while developing your expertise through structured training and mentorship.
Accountabilities
- Support legal operations by reviewing immigration-related filings, conducting research, and ensuring accuracy and compliance across case documentation.
- Work closely with senior legal professionals to contribute to efficient case progression and high-quality client support.
- Review immigration court-related filings, including motions, briefs, and other legal documents, following established guidance and review processes.
- Analyze draft filings and identify required edits, corrections, and improvements before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding document updates, filing changes, and case-related recommendations.
- Manage a high volume of case reviews while meeting daily productivity and quality expectations.
- Conduct legal research on immigration law topics, particularly those related to court proceedings and filing requirements.
- Apply legal knowledge and attention to detail to support effective case preparation and client outcomes.
- Follow detailed instructions and established workflows while maintaining strong organization across multiple cases.
- Collaborate with attorneys and operational teams to improve efficiency and maintain consistent legal standards.
- Support the continuous improvement of legal processes, documentation practices, and case management procedures.
Requirements
- Motivated legal professional with strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
- Active membership in good standing with a state bar.
- Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and apply legal guidance accurately.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and written communication skills.
- Interest in immigration law and supporting individuals and families through legal processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience with case management software is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, email platforms, and document management systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys and cross-functional teams.
