About the role

Assist in daily operational duties at the facility, including operating commercial sprayers, floaters, and trucks to apply crop inputs. Maintain facility operations, inventory, and equipment while ensuring customer satisfaction and organizational profitability.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain operations at the retail supply location, following maintenance schedules for facility and equipment.
  • Manage inventory and distribution of products, including delivering customer products as requested.
  • Safely load and unload containers, pallets, or materials on/off trucks, trailers, or railcars, ensuring proper balance and axle weights.
  • Assist full-time and part-time operations personnel, Crop Specialists, and the Precision Farming Team with installs, data, mapping, and customer needs.
  • Maintain facility and equipment image, improving efficiency and reducing costs to meet organizational goals.
  • Address safety and compliance issues with the Location Manager, demonstrating knowledge of safe equipment operation per company and DOT standards.
  • Perform and record daily safety checks, including pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment (e.g., fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes).
  • Ensure all products are accounted for with invoices or delivery tickets.
  • Maintain, repair, rebuild, or service location equipment, vehicles, and structures as needed.
  • Follow Three Rivers Company Policies, GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies.
  • Train new employees in the scope of this position as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with 0-2 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a Class A CDL license with required endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and a valid medical card.
  • Must obtain and maintain all required pesticide or fertilizer applicator licenses or certifications in applicable states; responsible for renewing them as needed.
  • Ability to work extended hours and on-call as business conditions require.

Working Conditions

  • Occasionally exposed to extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).
  • May work in noisy conditions, dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards; must utilize appropriate safety measures.
  • May be required to work at varying heights.
  • Ability to lift 51–70 lbs.
  • Willingness to participate in required training, including Three Rivers’ policies and procedures.
