Essential Responsibilities
- Makes critical operational decisions around the clock to maintain compliance, safety and the desired airport experience.
- Issues NOTAMS and makes required submissions to meet FAA compliance requirements (such as 7460-1, wildlife strikes, and aircraft accident/incident reports).
- Reports deficiencies to appropriate agencies and promptly implements corrective actions.
- Affords assistance with wildlife hazard mitigation, and severe weather.
- Ensures continuous services during abnormal conditions such as aircraft emergencies and diversions.
- Coordinates with other MNAA departments to ensure exemplary customer experience throughout MNAA facilities.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other Characteristics
- Office Management: Knowledge of general office management practices and procedures.
- Airport Operations: Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in the operation and improvement of air carrier or general aviation airports.
- Driving: Skill in operating a motor vehicle in an airport environment.
- Relationship Building: Skill in establishing and maintaining effective and professional working relationships with others.
- Map Reading: Skill in reading and interpreting maps and airport diagrams.
- Reporting: Skill in preparing and producing timely and accurate oral and written reports.
- Word Processing: Skill in computerized word processing quickly and accurately.
- Receiving Direction: Skill in receiving and following written and oral direction.
- Project Management: Skill in conceptualizing and managing complex projects, and managing multiple projects using established project management principles.
- Wildlife Hazard Mitigation: Knowledge of wildlife hazard mitigation requirements and techniques on airports.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's Degree in aviation, airport management, or related field.
- Less than 2 years of experience in operations at an air carrier airport.
- Valid Class D Driver's License.
- Security Identification Display Area (SIDA, upon hire)
- Airfield Operations Area Driving License (within 30 days of hire)
