As an Operations Specialist, you will contribute to the company’s operational goals by assisting in developing and executing operational plans and processes, ensuring branches operate efficiently and effectively. This role requires travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide general operational support by identifying, standardizing, and implementing best practices for all branches, including operational training as needed.
• Identify inefficiencies in current warehouse operational processes to maximize productivity.
• Assist with planning, operations, and inventories for new acquisitions or moves.
• Conduct operational audits for branch, warehouse, and safety.
• Manage the company’s fleet program to ensure safety and operational readiness, including reviewing and approving fleet purchases, sales, and transfers, and managing the fleet management program (ARI) and billing.
• Oversee the company’s fuel card program by evaluating use, managing the vendor, and maintaining system users.
• Administer transportation systems to ensure DOT compliance and efficiency, such as Elog, GPS systems, and IFTA filings.
• Review and reconcile third-party freight bills.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on the company’s operational expenses, such as auto fuel, building, auto maintenance, and equipment rental.
• Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information; collaborate with IT to automate new and existing reports.
• Lead branch-specific year-end audited physical inventories.
• Provide coaching and feedback to associates involved in operational processes.
• Participate in quality control or safety-related matters and lead field investigations as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certified in relevant certification or accreditation.
• 3+ years of experience in distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing industries.
• Proficient with MS Office 365.
• Expert-level interpretation and assessment of ERP and operational data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Thrives in a collaborative team environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistency.
• Physical requirements: sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug test.
