Operations Specialist

About the role

The Operations Specialist assists the Product Lifecycle Manager with daily material handling in a retail branch location, achieving operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment
• Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks
• Communicate effectively with Merchandising and Inventory teams to stock products in correct merchandising locations
• Communicate with the Product Lifecycle Manager to address operational issues
• Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations
• Maintain overall cleanliness of the store

Physical Requirements

• Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to 9 hours/day
• Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prior forklift certification a plus

• Demonstrated knowledge of retail/supply chain business models and a strong work ethic
• Basic customer service skills and ability to work well with coworkers
• Strong verbal communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
