About the role

This position requires frequent overnight travel. The primary responsibilities include assisting in training existing Executive Directors, supporting Cedarhurst acquisitions, mentoring existing EDs, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in providing additional training to existing EDs to improve performance.
  • Support Cedarhurst acquisitions by working with onboarding Executive Directors to ensure they are trained in Cedarhurst policies and procedures.
  • Mentor existing EDs and provide support to any EDs that may be struggling in their roles.
  • Communicate effectively, present group presentations, and lead a strong team.
  • Handle confidential information, PHI, and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
  • Manage three to five (3-5) subordinate supervisors overseeing approximately 30-50 employees in areas like Housekeeping, Resident Care, Maintenance, Dietary, and Office.
  • Engage in the sales and marketing process, create an environment for sales, and meet occupancy and revenue goals.
  • Hire, orient, supervise, evaluate, review, and discipline subordinate staff.
  • Resolve customer, family, employee, and party conflicts.
  • Ensure the property stays in regulatory compliance with all agencies.
  • Provide leadership that represents key servant leadership principles, including effective listening, empathy, awareness, and persuasiveness.
  • Offer proactive solutions to problems and circumstances in line with the company vision, values, policies, and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Five (5) years plus of experience in a senior care community with proven leadership and organizational skills preferred.
  • One (1) year of management or supervision experience preferred.
  • Applicable state licensure for operating an Assisted Living/Memory Care center is required and must be in good standing with the state.
  • Makes business decisions based on the best interest of the company and its employees.
  • Creates a professional environment that represents the Company’s vision and core values.
  • Provides leadership in regulatory compliance and ensures the property stays in compliance with all regulatory agencies.
  • Offers proactive solutions to problems and circumstances in keeping with the company vision, values, policies, and standards.

Qualifications

  • State required license/certification for operating an Assisted Living/Memory Care center is required.
  • Applicable state licensure must be in good standing with the state.
  • Five (5) years plus of experience in a senior care community with proven leadership and organizational skills preferred.

  • Proven experience in staffing, leading, developing, and retaining a strong team.

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills to effectively manage the resolution of employee relations issues and/or resident issues.
  • Self-motivated to accomplish goals with a strong sense of accountability for results.
  • Superior analytical, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Sense of professional curiosity, desire to learn new things, and to find/recommend solutions to problems.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, to be flexible, to work well with many interruptions, and have skill in multi-tasking.
  • Enjoys working and interacting with older adults, exhibits and promotes a high level of customer service, hospitality, curiosity, and friendliness towards all residents, visitors, employees, and the overall facility.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $X per hour - $Y per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work and overnight travel as needed.
