Operations Site Lead - TAS

About the role

The Operations Site Lead assists in oversight of operations, acting as the liaison between Transdev Management and employees. Responsibilities include overseeing daily tasks of Fleet Deployment Specialists, Site Coordinators, and Driverless Roadside Assistance Specialists to ensure efficient delivery of client missions. The role involves assisting in weekly scheduling, documenting issues, escalating appropriately, and upholding company policies. Site Leads provide clear, professional feedback to direct reports.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Transdev’s high standard of safety
• Act as the deputy for technology by communicating courteously with management, clients, engineers, and the public
• Ensure delays in service are recorded and communicated; handle accidents or breakdowns appropriately
• Respond to system emergencies; investigate and complete accident reports, incidents, safety escalations, and customer complaints, including post-accident drug and alcohol testing according to policy
• Monitor and record employee absence and tardiness
• Conduct shift pre-brief and debrief meetings, communicating announcements to the team
• Support operations leadership in daily dispatch management, including mission assignment, leading meetings, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate, monitor, and supervise the activities of subordinates; inform management of operational/personnel problems and offer resolution ideas
• Ensure compliance with global process standards and work on continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality of all information
• Apply policies, procedures, and standards, taking personal responsibility for safety
• Ensure timely shift starts and efficient vehicle deployment
• Cover day-to-day operational needs in case of call-outs or staff shortages
• Ensure the Transdev-managed fleet remains operational by handling day-to-day maintenance, procuring supplies, and maintaining vendor relationships
• Perform all other duties as required

Requirements

• Associate’s degree (and/or equivalent job experience)
• 1 year of Autonomous Vehicle Operations experience
• Experience with program management tools and Google Workspace
• Experience in vendor relationship management
• Experience leading teams to successful conclusions

Skills

• Proficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone
• Ability to use a computer to generate reports and schedules
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases, and routes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to organize and perform work efficiently with strong attention to detail
• Awareness and willingness to use Operational Excellence tools and techniques
• Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
• Ability to work for different managers
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding department performance goals
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends; flexible shift availability if needed
• Self-starter with good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
• Punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
• Minimum typing speed of 40 adjusted words per minute

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Leadership experience including direct reports

Physical Requirements

• Long periods of standing, walking, and sitting
• Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather
• Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 45 pounds
• May work in extreme heat, cold, damp environments, or moderate noise
• Office or cubicle work involving sitting, typing, or computer use
• Must use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Must be 21 years old
• Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check (safety-sensitive positions also require a physical screening)
• Must maintain a drug-free workplace; random drug screening may be required
• Ongoing background checks may be performed (where permitted by state law)
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record suitable for driving duties
• Ability to qualify for an Autonomous Vehicle Tester (AVT) license where required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire (no visa sponsorship provided)

Pay

Competitive compensation package ranging from $70,720 to $81,120 annually.
