About the role
ITT Engineered Valves is looking for a Planner to join their team in Lancaster, PA. The Planner will be working closely with Production Supervision, plans the production of configured items and/or manufactured components and keeps the production plan in sync with customer demand or the next level demand.
Responsibilities
- Releases shop orders for assigned configured items and/or components in accordance with the planning data in the item master records and within established lead times.
- Monitors capacity of critical work centers and attempts to balance demand with capacity through the order release process, use of alternate routings, de-expedite or expedite messages, etc.
- Monitors accuracy of planning data and recommends changes.
- Expedites/de-expedites material as required.
- Coordinates part number changes with shop floor personnel.
- Maintains data on released shop orders.
- Quotes/issues delivery dates to Customer Service.
- Reschedules orders based on current information and advises the next level Planner or Customer Service Representative of the changes.
- Maintains knowledge and provides assistance to Inventory Management & Warehouse Management.
- Monitors on-time performance of the products/components they are planning and recommends changes to improve results.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/ GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or similar field strongly preferred.
- 1+ years of planning experience is preferred but will accept 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- CPIM/CPM certification is desirable.
- Additional coursework or seminars in materials management is preferred.
- Self-starter.
- Excellent communication skills and enjoys working with a diverse employee base.
- Highly proficient in the use of MRP and ERP systems (SAP preferred) as well as MS Office.
- Previous use of databases a plus.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Ability to navigate multiple priorities and take accountability.
- Highly organized and multitasking.
- Knowledge of manufacturing organization structure, policies, and procedures preferred.
Pay
Equal Pay Act Range: $72,300.00 to $107,500.00 plus benefits and potential bonus.
