Operations - Scale Operator

About the role

Scale Operator position at Niagara Metals (parent company Triple M Metal), located at the Union Rd facility in Cheektowaga, NY. The company operates 31 facilities across North America and provides customized metal recycling solutions.

Responsibilities

• Verify all info on paperwork going to drivers (inbound and outbound)
• Verify supplier name on scale ticket with any driver paperwork
• Verify gross, tare and net weights are correct
• Distribute driver’s paperwork
• Input sort reports for accounts finalized by the warehouse into Mayer
• Scan all completed inbound and outbound paperwork to main office
• Prepare outbound and inbound customs paperwork
• Maintain car processing logs and complete associated DMV and NMVTIS paperwork
• Answer phone calls
• Perform other tasks as requested by management

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of work experience performing general administrative duties

• Successful incumbent must provide a clear records check

Pay

Competitive hourly wage: $20.72/hr

Schedule

• Monday to Friday: 8:15 AM – 4:45 PM; Saturday: 8:15 AM – 12:30 PM
• Every other week: Monday to Friday: 8:15 AM – 5:45 PM
