Scale Operator

As the face of the facility, the Scale Operator is responsible for weighing inbound and outbound materials, processing outbound Bill of Ladings, and ensuring that material loaded into vehicles matches the release number provided by the hauler.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company standards, procedures, and policies, complying with permitted regulations to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
• Provides excellent customer service and communicates effectively with drivers, staff, and customers.
• Maintains accurate scale operations and records to ensure factual reporting.
• Coordinates the loading and unloading of all materials, aligning machine actions with other activities and positioning or moving loads within a busy environment.
• Interfaces with company drivers, outside haulers, and third-party vehicles to oversee accurate and appropriate job functions.
• Participates in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
• Performs any other duties needed to help drive the company’s vision, fulfill its mission, and abide by its core values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related industrial experience.
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Experience or interest in an environmental and/or sustainability field is preferred.
• Outstanding relationship management skills, excellent listening, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and a positive, professional mindset.

Pay

Hiring range is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour based on experience.
