Operations Manager Public Works
About the role
The City of Branson is seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Manager to oversee key Public Works functions that support safe, reliable, and well-maintained city infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, organization, and administration of several important Public Works operations, including: Streets Division operations, Sign Shop operations, Vehicle and Equipment Service Center operations, Staff supervision, project coordination, process improvement, and response to operational needs throughout the City.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year institution in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field
- Direct full-time job-related professional experience of six or more years may be substituted for the degree requirement
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in municipal public works management, relationship management, communication, or technical writing preferred
- A valid Class A CDL, or the ability to obtain one within 12 months of employment
- A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A CDL exam is required before employment
- Strong initiative, problem-solving skills, integrity, and work ethic
- Ability to work independently and respond to operational needs with professionalism
Qualifications
- Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls outside normal work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as assigned
- Availability for snow route operations, including 12-hour shifts during the months of November through March

Pay
The starting salary is $70,000.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm; On call after hours needed
Work Location
In and around the City of Branson, Missouri; This position requires work to be performed onsite.
