About the role

The Operations Manager position at OnTrac is available in Nashville, TN. OnTrac, founded in 1986, is a leading provider of same-day and next-day delivery services for e-commerce and product-supply businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Guide and direct facility management in the development, production, promotion, and financial aspects of the organization's services
  • Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically report these results to the Regional Operations and General Managers
  • Responsible for coaching, skills development, rewards and recognition, performance management, and staff productivity for hourly and salaried positions
  • Ensure adherence to all aspects of the contract and work with Vendors and Independent Contractors for accountability to the operating agreement

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years’ management experience, 2 in a similar industry; or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience
  • 6 years' experience in industry or related field; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Last-mile delivery or Small Parcel experience highly desired
  • Experience with an independent contractor model; strong negotiation skills
  • Ability to inspire a shared vision, empower and engage a team
  • Strong organization and time-management skills utilizing MS Office Suite

Qualifications

  • GED/Diploma required, bachelor's degree in Logistics or related discipline preferred
  • Experience with mechanical work and knowledge of OSHA requirements
  • Flexible schedule to support 24-hour operations, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays when needed
  • Dependable and adaptable to support business needs, staffing needs, and workload shifts

Skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with independent contractor models
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements

Pay

The expected starting base pay range for this position is $79,800 - $99,750, with full potential base salary range over a successful candidate’s tenure in the position of $99,750- $119,700. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other job-related factors.

Schedule

Shift: Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday from 2:00 PM – 12:00 AM (Schedule subject to change based on the needs of the business)
