Operations Manager-Must Have Commercial Door Experience

As an industry leader in commercial, industrial, and residential door, docking, and security products, DH Pace is celebrating its 100‑year anniversary in 2026. The Operations Manager position in Austin, Texas leads all aspects of Commercial Door Systems to maintain high customer satisfaction on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee commercial operations and personnel to ensure efficient, effective, safe, and profitable performance.
• Manage and improve operational processes and procedures to maximize profit and return while emphasizing customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Ensure sold jobs are timely scheduled and skillfully performed to meet divisional budgeted sales and gross profit objectives.
• Collaborate to align operating budgets and sales goals, tracking progress monthly.
• Deliver profit dollars and return on sales that meet or exceed the yearly financial budget/forecast.
• Establish objectives and action plans consistent with corporate objectives.
• Hire, train, and develop new employees; improve individual performance through daily coaching, project outcomes, scorecard reviews, and performance reviews.
• Lead meetings, set performance expectations, and hold employees accountable.
• Communicate directly with customers to solicit feedback, resolve problems, and identify new sales opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Department Manager, Operations Manager, and/or Project Manager in the service provider industry.
• Familiarity with construction project management and installation of building materials.
• Ability to work with technical applications, mechanical/electrical systems, and problem solving.
• Experience conducting meetings with exempt and non‑exempt personnel, as well as hiring, training, developing, and conducting annual performance reviews.
• Must enjoy a high‑activity, hands‑on environment focused on meeting deadlines and providing unmatched customer service.
• Successful completion of employment verifications, background check, drug screen, and driving record (if applicable) required prior to hire.
