Operations Manager in Training

About the role

We are expanding and looking for people to join our team in the Chicago area and beyond. Our Mount Prospect store will open in October 2026. As a MOM’s leader you can positively affect the store environment, customer experience, and influence the future direction of the company.

Program Details

• Focus on Leadership: The MIT program emphasizes leadership training through an Individual Development Plan (IDP) with learning goals and regular check‑ins.
• Length of Program: Most candidates follow a 12‑month plan, though the duration may be shorter based on experience and other factors.
• Working in Multiple Stores: Participants will work in at least two stores, gaining experience with varying sales volumes, different management styles, and unique challenges. A maximum of an hour commute between stores is expected.
• Core Tasks: Mastering tasks such as ordering and schedule writing is integral to development as a future leader.

Compensation

Managers in training will earn $25.00 per hour for the duration of the program.

Schedule

MOM’s stores are staffed from 4 am to 11 pm, seven days a week. The role requires a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Growth Path

Upon completing the MIT program, you will have the opportunity to advance to a Department Manager or Assistant General Manager position, with further paths to store leadership and beyond.
