The Operations Manager- Food Distribution Center position in Lake City, FL is responsible for overseeing operations within a food distribution center. The role involves influencing with a focus on safety, leadership, excellence, self-motivation, problem-solving, and teamwork. Core responsibilities include fostering a "safety first" culture, establishing oneself as an engaging and inclusive leader, creating a positive work environment, ensuring operational plans are executed, achieving performance and budget goals, and innovating with new approaches to process and method.
Responsibilities
- Foster a "safety first" culture through awareness, training, and accountability
- Establish oneself as an engaging and inclusive leader with ownership for the team's productivity, growth, and development
- Create a positive work environment through real-time observation and specific, constructive, and actionable feedback
- Ensure operational plans are executed, performance and budget goals are achieved, and teams are kept informed and coordinated across functions
- Innovate with new approaches to process and method, all in the name of more efficiency and implementing future process flow optimization
- Find root causes to problems in an environment of calculated risk and testing
- Commitment to others shines when helping teams meet their business goals
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership ability, with the ability to engage and motivate others
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Good reasoning, conflict-management, and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Able to access all areas of the Distribution Center, including the mezzanine platforms
- Able to read and interpret necessary policies and procedures to perform updates and operate systems and other programs within the Distribution Center, for example, ability to traverse conveyor crossovers

Pay
The pay range for this position is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00, based on several factors including labor markets and individual qualifications.
