Operations Manager Viking Electric Location: Rochester, MN Job type: Full time Schedule: Standard Daytime hours, Monday-Friday (in-office) Base Salary: $81,000 - $111,000 annually (pay increases within range based on comparable people management experience brought to role) Compensation for this position includes salary, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. Viking Electric is looking for an Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at one of our locations. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys developing people, improving processes, solving problems, and creating a safe, efficient operation that delivers a great customer experience. What You’ll Do As an Operations Manager, you’ll oversee key areas of the location’s operations, including: Lead, develop, and support operations associates and leadersManage daily productivity, workflow, staffing, inventory, fleet, and customer servicePromote a strong safety culture and ensure policies and procedures are followedOversee receiving, shipping, project material management, delivery, counter sales, inventory, facilities, and assetsPartner with Sales, Human Resources, and Corporate Supply Chain to provide consistent and responsive customer serviceDrive continuous improvement in service, business processes, inventory control, and loss controlMonitor operational KPIs and manage operating expenses within established budgetsOversee the facility, grounds, fleet, and operational assets in collaboration with corporate resources What We’re Looking For Required Experience 4+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or a distribution environment2+ years of supervisory experienceHigh school diploma or GEDKnowledge of, or ability to learn and enforce, DOT rules and regulationsKnowledge of distribution and warehouse processes, equipment, and proceduresStrong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and customer-service skillsAbility to lead, coach, motivate, and develop a teamAbility to work effectively across departmentsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Additional Requirements Valid driver’s licenseAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.Ability to work in both office and operations environmentsModerate travelRole may involve operating powered industrial equipment and physical activities including lifting, bending, twisting, climbing, crouching, and squatting Why This Role?
