Operations Manager - Clayton, Indiana

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages staffing/scheduling resources to ensure schedules are sufficiently staffed to meet customer's requirements
• Reviews production plan to ensure resources and capabilities in place
• Manages site staff meetings to support communication needs as required with ongoing informal meetings with direct and indirect reports to ensure adequacy of resources
• Provides project resources and support for all site projects
• Provides external project resources as required to support corporate projects
• Led the site communication network through periodic staff meetings and supporting the electronic communication medium
• Provides immediate interface with the customer as needed to address any issues
• Supports the financial planning and monitoring for the site operations to meet budgetary requirements
• Provides active leadership support for all ABW quality and food safety and personal safety initiatives
• Manages and supports the site ABW and customer reporting to include Customer Key Performance Indicators and ABW objectives
• Participates and supports the site Quality and Food Safety Management review process for their site
• Supports cross-functional site leadership - team building through coaching and inclusion
• Manages by “Walking Around” with “Active Involvement”

Minimum Educational or Training Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business / Logistics Management or related field of study preferred
• Minimum of two years' experience supervising or managing a production area or facility, warehouse or logistics operation

People Management

• Direct Reports – Production Manager(s)
• Indirect Reports – Site Management, General Warehouse to Sanitation employees
• Range: 1 to 4 Direct Reports, 100 to 350 Indirect Reports
