Responsibilities
- Provides business, managerial, and technical direction.
- Serves as customer contact and liaison.
- Keeps track of job progress and financial details.
- Responsible for the sales, profit, and quality of the area operation.
- Reviews and signs contracts consistent with Limits of Authority.
- Works with the Region Director, Regional Sales Manager, and Marketing Services to promote new business.
- Develops Area Profit Plan using local committee and periodically reviews the plan to ensure Service Center work is on track.
- Holds periodic regular management committee meetings to promote effective communication and review business progress.
- Works with staff to develop weekly invoicing and monthly Status Reports.
- Reviews and audits field jobs.
- Performs general supervision, safety, and technical training of Field Engineers and Technicians.
- Conducts employee performance reviews and recommends appropriate salary changes.
- Collaborates with staff to coordinate technical training for field personnel and assists with career development.
- Reviews and recommends field technical procedures and procedure changes.
- Interviews job applicants.
- Develops and reviews proposals, and reviews reports of field engineers.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of same or similar work experience in the Industrial Service Industry.
- Requires strong communication, supervisory, organizational, and management skills.
- Effective communication, both written and verbal, with clients, peers, subordinates, and management.
- Strong computer skills including editing, formatting, and using templates in Microsoft Word, internet research for standards/products/manufacturers, and operation of computer-controlled test equipment.
- Willingness to do some overnight travel to cover the field region and attend company meetings.
Qualifications
- Four-year degree or graduate of Electrical Technical School or Military equivalent, BSEE/BSEET preferred.
Pay & Schedule
Salary (up to $180k DOE) plus 25% bonus potential.
