Operations Manager

About the Role

Leads and directs an existing management team including CLMs and CLMIIs that supports drivers and customers in a dedicated on-site environment, responsible for approximately 40–125 total drivers.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and audits financial functions including driver payroll, customer invoices, accounts receivables, and P&L accuracy, formulating improvement plans as needed.
• Weekly contact with the customer and the customer’s transportation departments via phone call and in person to discuss feedback and future operations planning.
• Manage and oversee various standard reports, KPIs, customer scorecards, and QBRs.
• Collaborate with HR to develop driver recruiting and retention plans.
• Work with cross-functional teams in procurement and maintenance to ensure assets are in USAT and DOT compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in the transportation industry.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing MS Excel or other data manipulation software.
• Working knowledge of transportation management software and on-board technology.

Skills

• Experience leading others.
• Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), Hours of Service, and Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA).
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
