What You'll Do
- Labor & Workforce Management
- Lead labor utilization and productivity initiatives across nursing service lines.
- Analyze workforce metrics including FTEs, visits per FTE, overtime, paid time off, and non-productive hours.
- Monitor labor budgets, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to the Nursing Operations Director.
- Partner with the Central Scheduling Manager to align staffing levels, float utilization, and skill mix with patient census and workload projections.
- Ensure payroll accuracy through timecard audits and exception reviews.
- Collaborate with Finance, Recruitment, and nursing leadership on workforce planning, staffing models, territory alignment, and FTE recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with labor standards, contracts, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop labor dashboards and performance reports that support informed operational decisions.
- Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop Nurse and CNA Supervisors through regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback.
- Promote consistent execution of policies, workflows, productivity standards, and accountability expectations.
- Partner with the Educational Services team during recruitment and interview processes.
- Conduct annual EMPOWER performance meetings with direct reports and support supervisors in completing their own team evaluations.
- Manage employee performance, coaching, and progressive discipline in partnership with Human Resources and the Nursing Operations Director.
- Participate in the Administrator On-Call rotation.
- Operational Excellence & Compliance
- Collaborate with Quality and Education leaders to maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
- Review operational, quality, and compliance data to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead corrective action planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. (Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.)
- Minimum three years of healthcare or business operations experience.
- Minimum three years of leadership experience, including coaching, project management, and operational execution.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance.
