Operations Manager

About the role

A Warehouse Operations Manager oversees and optimizes all aspects of warehouse functions to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations. This role involves managing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods, supervising warehouse staff, implementing operational strategies, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages all the day-to-day activities surrounding inbound, outbound, inventory control, and/or facility warehouse operations
• Maintains or develops reports to understand the state of operations, or where to make improvements
• Partners with Human Resources to find and retain talent
• Ensures operations meet or exceed Company metrics
• Performs other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, additional related facility management training preferred
• Experience: Five or more years of related experience, with at least two or more years of supervisory experience; three to five years warehouse management and/or logistics management experience in a complex, service-driven organization; experience in shipping/receiving preferred
• Knowledge: Strong knowledge of all warehouse procedures and functions; knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirements; good judgment required
• Skills/Abilities: Excellent leadership abilities; keen eye for quality; detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills; strong problem-solving skills; strong communication skills and ability to motivate; ability to work in a team environment; must be flexible; proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
