Operations Manager
About the role
The Operations Manager supports operations through dispatch, employee retention and advancement, and sales/marketing for the Branch or assigned territory. Their overall accountability is to ensure customer responsiveness and satisfaction by delivering high-quality industrial cleaning services focused on safety and customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Act as a safety and environmental champion, leading by example and participating in health, safety, and environment activities.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relations by responding to customer needs and coordinating appropriate support.
- Train and mentor Field Service staff on the operation and maintenance of water blasting and related equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Set up work sites to ensure safety and prevent injuries or damages.
- Conduct safety meetings and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.
- Complete or direct the completion of on-site paperwork and job tickets to drive accurate billing and payroll functions and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate employee performance and conduct on-the-job training and coaching when necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in the Environmental and/or Industrial Services industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree, a minimum of 3 years managerial/supervisory experience.
- Sales experience preferred.
