Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager oversees all plant operations, ensuring safety, high-quality product output, and financial performance. They lead, direct, and manage plant personnel, focusing on productivity, cost control, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations, analyze processes, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Ensure efficient resource planning, including workforce and equipment allocation.
• Prepare production reports and monitor machine performance and operating conditions.
• Develop budgets, estimate costs, and oversee procurement and maintenance.
• Supervise and evaluate staff performance, enforce safety standards, and uphold quality standards.
• Address production issues promptly and organize workflow to meet deadlines and specifications.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in operations.
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
• Strong communication, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to motivate teams, manage change, and develop staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-based business processes.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 20%, work in an office and plant environment.
• Prolonged sitting and computer use, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Must pass drug, background, and motor vehicle checks; exposure to machinery and weather possible.
