About the role

As an Operations Manager, you will provide leadership and supervision to an operations team working within the same value stream to create a world-class operations team. You will manage inbound, pick/pack operations, outbound shipments, and maintain inventory while fostering a lean culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Accountable to client SLA agreements and site-specific quality and fulfillment targets.
- Create and manage day-to-day operational strategy ensuring safe and productive campus operations.
- Actively contribute to the development of direct reports, including delivering performance evaluations and feedback.
- Full work week responsibility for client(s), including 2nd shift and weekend/donut shifts if applicable.
- Lead the Individual Performance Management program for your area.
- Plan, prioritize, and communicate shift directives to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
- Interact with clients on operational topics.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes.
- Promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the value stream.
- Deliver productivity improvements in line with KPIs and own lean process improvement initiatives.
- Organize and manage resources to improve safety, quality, customer service, and cost.
- Ensure all training, skills development programs, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are up to date.
- Promote a culture of high accountability, engagement, and associate empowerment.
- Manage relationships with on-site seasonal staffing representatives and advise on seasonal labor needs.
- Budget management for the value stream.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; HS Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with process improvement ideologies (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma); Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive Operations experience in a manager role.
- Experience creating productivity improvements through continuous improvement efforts.
- Execution-focused with the ability to be flexible and analyze data to identify defects and root causes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish or enhance quality control procedures.
- Capacity to learn all operational functions and coach, mentor, and motivate direct reports.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with peers and upper management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Intermediate math skills.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and push or pull carts of up to 100 lbs.
Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.
