Operations Manager

About the role

New Castle Building Products (NCBP) is a full-service distributor based in White Plains, NY, operating with seven core values: Caring, Urgency, Teamwork, Honesty, Accountability, Flexibility, and Passion. Our Metals location in Hicksville, NY is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a 30,000 SF manufacturing facility. Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is not required but is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily manufacturing work, ensuring machine utilization is optimized and production deadlines are met using MRP software.
• Manage shop floor personnel to meet individual productivity metrics.
• Review production paperwork for accuracy prior to releasing to the shop floor.
• Oversee CNC programming team.
• Communicate with customers, colleagues, and vendors regarding all aspects of the production workflow.
• Check and receive inbound materials.
• Check and coordinate delivery of outbound materials.
• Maintain production standards in accordance with the Quality Assurance Policy, performing intermittent and final quality checks.
• Maintain a culture of Safety, adhering to NCM Safety Policies.
• Assist in troubleshooting machinery and coordinate external vendors/manufacturers repair teams as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must have a can-do, customer service-first attitude.
• Ability to navigate digital MRP systems.
• Experience in the architectural, construction, or design industry.
• Familiarity with CAD programs.
• Familiarity with automation and integrated machinery.
• Prior experience with sheet metal fabrication and metal roofing is a plus.

Pay

Wage range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually, plus additional benefits.
