About the role
We're looking for a dependable Operations Manager to lead daily plant operations with a focus on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control. This role provides hands-on leadership to operational teams, supports customer and production needs, and partners with the Plant Manager to achieve performance goals.

What You'll Do
- Manage daily plant operations to support safe, efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective performance.
- Supervise Team Leads, Water Technicians, and assigned shifts while providing clear direction and operational support.
- Train, onboard, coach, and develop employees to strengthen team performance and operational capabilities.
- Monitor production output and reinforce established operating, quality, and performance standards.
- Use BI reports, WMC, Dashboards, Intelex, Phoenix, and other available tools to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Manage employee scheduling and staffing coverage to maintain appropriate resources for customer and production requirements.
- Support payroll activities and maintain accurate employee and operational documentation.
- Participate in recruiting, performance reviews, employee development, and disciplinary actions as required.
- Reinforce health, safety, environmental, and LMS requirements throughout daily operations.
- Support customer project scheduling and coordinate resources to meet changing operational demands.
- Partner with the Plant Manager to achieve production, customer service, safety, quality, and cost-control objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, tools, and operating results.
- Adapt quickly to changing job conditions while maintaining safety, quality, and cost expectations.
- Exercise independent decision-making authority within the established scope of responsibility.
- Respond to operational needs at various hours and days, including emergency situations requiring 24/7 availability.
- Maintain clear communication with employees, customers, and leadership across all organizational levels.
- Foster a respectful and collaborative work environment that supports teamwork and accountability.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support plant and customer operations.
What You'll Need
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum of two years of mechanical experience; water purification experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to work effectively with operational reporting and business intelligence tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, adapt to changing conditions, and respond as needed during various hours and days of the week due to the emergency-response nature of the business.
