Operations Manager

About the role

Premium Trading and Logistics is looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee our day-to-day shipping and logistics operations. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong leadership skills, a customer-focused mindset, and extensive experience in the Freight Forwarding Industry with exposure to customs clearance. We are ISO 9001:2015 Certified and have won multiple National Logistics Awards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all operational activities related to freight forwarding, customs clearance, import and export.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, port authorities, customs, terminals, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operational execution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team to achieve departmental and company objectives.
• Monitor operational performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and effectively handle service-related issues and escalations.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Manage operational costs, resource utilization, and productivity to support business growth and profitability.
• Prepare and present operational reports, performance metrics, and recommendations to management.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in freight/logistics sales
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Degree in Business/Logistics (preferred)
• Proficiency in MS Office
