Operations Manager
Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring an Operations Manager for our Whitewater, WI manufacturing facility. The role involves leading day-to-day operations, developing and improving manufacturing processes, and driving safe, efficient production while supporting quality, cost, and delivery goals.
About the Role
The Operations Manager will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on production efficiency, quality, safety, cost savings, and overall facility performance. They will develop and manage manufacturing plans and production schedules, identify and implement best practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, establish and enforce quality standards, maintain safety protocols, track vendor performance, manage staffing levels, and promote continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations with a focus on production efficiency, quality, safety, cost savings, and overall facility performance.
- Develop and manage manufacturing plans and production schedules that balance customer demand with capacity, adjusting as needed for changes in demand, resource availability, or equipment performance.
- Identify and implement best practices and process improvements that optimize cost, reduce lead time, improve productivity, and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align manufacturing activities with production goals and business objectives.
- Establish, monitor, and enforce quality standards to ensure products meet organizational and industry requirements.
- Maintain and administer safety protocols, reinforce compliance with safety regulations, and support a safe working environment.
- Track and report vendor performance, helping ensure external suppliers meet applicable quality and delivery requirements.
- Manage staffing levels, lead and develop team members, maintain required operational documentation, and promote 5S, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or operations.
- Demonstrated experience managing production teams and driving process improvements.
- Experience with manufacturing systems, lean production methodologies, and operational efficiency initiatives.
