Operations Manager

Van Pool Transportation LLC is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of a multi-service, fast-paced environment.

About the Role

Serve as the primary contact to school districts and ensure strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders. Effective and frequent communication with staff ensures employees have available resources to meet daily operational tasks successfully. Partners with safety leaders to establish and maintain a ‘safety-first’ culture.

• Daily, weekly, and monthly review of key operational metrics
• Interview, hire, and train new transportation coordinators/supervisors
• Identify and cultivate a pipeline of internal talent for next-level positions
• Prepare monthly work schedules
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels for drivers and monitors by driving a positive work culture
• Ensure all employees have proper certifications, training, and licensing
• Work with fleet maintenance to keep vans and buses operational and safe
• Review and prepare billing and payroll each month

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in operations management, business administration, or related field
• Progressive work experience in a fast-paced work environment
• Management of hourly staff and responsibility for managing metrics
• Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office
• Maintain a good driving record
• Comfortable with early-morning hours
• Strong leadership skills to supervise and direct teams
• Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Detail-oriented with a passion for problem-solving
• High standard of accuracy and confidentiality
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure during extremely busy times

Pay

Annual salary range: $75,000–$90,000

Schedule

This is an on-site position at our Hudson, MA office.
