About the role
Oversee organizational processes and ensure daily tasks by drivers and other members of the operations teams are met at the local branch. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, assisting with hiring, implementing policies and strategies to improve productivity and efficiency, and building an enjoyable company culture.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact to school districts and ensure strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
- Communicate frequently with staff to ensure employees have resources to meet daily operational tasks.
- Partner with safety leaders to establish and maintain a ‘safety-first’ culture.
- Interview, hire, and train new transportation coordinators, supervisors, and dispatchers.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels for drivers and monitors by driving a positive work culture.
- Ensure all employees have proper certifications, training, and licensing.
- Work with fleet maintenance to keep buses operational and safe.
- Review and prepare billing and payroll each month.
- Manage daily and long-term planning to create initiatives that further the company’s overall goals.
- Coordinate different teams to foster exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
- Assess and analyze departmental budgets to minimize expenses and optimize profits.
- Inspire and motivate employees through positive encouragement and incentive initiatives.
- Communicate with senior officials about shifting company priorities and projects.
- Identify potential problems and points of friction and work to find solutions to maximize efficiency and revenue.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Three (3) years management experience preferred.
- One (1) year of supervisory experience.
- High school diploma.
- Proficient experience in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, show initiative, and have a strong work ethic.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills and can successfully supervise and direct teams.
- Effective customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Detail-oriented and enjoy solving problems.
CDL B with Endorsements preferred.
Pay
$80,000–$85,000 annually depending on experience.
