Operations Manager

Position Summary This position is accountable for the operation, personnel management, and the service to customers within a specified geographic region. Essential Functions Develop operating plans for the assigned regional operationServe as point of contact for drivers regarding issues/questions pertaining to organizational policies, payroll, benefits, etc.Set up schedules for driversRecruit drivers/owner operatorsEngage with customers to drive growth and enhance relationshipsResolve customer issuesEnsure that the safety values of the organization are followedAssist, support and direct managersManage, coach, discipline, and evaluate staff Qualifications Qualifications Bachelor degree in business or equivalent work experience4-5 years background in transportationGood people skillsAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and written Note: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
