Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, high-quality production output
- Monitor and drive performance against established KPIs (e.g., OTIF, Quality, Throughput)
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and operational efficiency
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of supervisors and frontline employees
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Manage workforce planning, skill development, and the flow of information
- Champion Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement sustainable solutions
- Lead Kaizen events and root cause analysis to eliminate waste and variability
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and safety standards
- Interpret financial statements and connect operational performance to financial outcomes
- Identify opportunities for resource optimization and capital investment
- Partner with sales, quality, procurement, customer service, and maintenance teams to achieve operational goals
- Support new product introductions and process changes
- Ensure alignment across departments to meet business objectives
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Lead safety initiatives, audits, and incident investigations
- Ensure adherence to company policies and environmental standards
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Proven experience leading teams through change and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making ability
- Demonstrated knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems and manufacturing performance metrics
- Experience with manufacturing performance metrics, KPI dashboards and management operating systems
