About the Role

Directs and coordinates daily activities of the facility and warehouse to ensure quality and accuracy in shipping, receiving, and service delivery. Oversees team engagement, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Reads, understands, and ensures adherence to company policies, procedures, and SOPs by all team members and managers.
  • Assists in developing and implementing company policies, procedures, goals, and objectives in collaboration with company and customer officials.
  • Manages, mentors, and motivates supervisory personnel to address team member concerns, complaints, and developmental needs.
  • Collaborates with leadership, engineers, quality representatives, and core leaders to ensure services meet or exceed expectations.
  • Oversees supervision of facility and warehouse team members, including coaching, training, and development of hourly and front-line managers.
  • Monitors and audits operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Audits shift supervisors' daily Leader Standard Work (LSW).
  • Reviews daily production schedules for warehouse and production departments.
  • Initiates and drives continuous improvement in operational systems, processes, and policies.
  • Directs and coordinates quality control and damage reduction efforts.
  • Determines and implements staffing levels to achieve customer success.
  • Conducts performance evaluations and disciplinary follow-up as required.
  • Anticipates and resolves delays in shift operations, reporting promptly to department managers and production planning.
  • Facilitates mill shutdowns, sets up labor plans, and submits monthly special project hours.
  • Participates in quarterly housekeeping and Major Impact Prevention (MIP) inspections.
  • Interviews and recruits applicants for promotable positions within the operation.
  • Coordinates waste stream processes, projects, and contingency plans.
  • Fills in for absent shift supervisors or General Manager as needed.
  • Operates a forklift and completes Holman’s forklift certification program.
  • Participates in staffing, payroll administrative functions, and department Transport Safety Assessments (TSA), recommending process improvements.
  • Handles customer complaints, settles disputes, and resolves grievances and conflicts.
  • Champions Holman’s core business values and ensures reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all duties in conformance with safety and security standards.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or needed by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Green Belt methodologies.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word) and ability to master internal systems like SAP.
  • Forklift certification preferred; must complete Holman’s forklift certification program.

Pay

$90,000–$100,000 per year.
