Operations Manager

Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fitness facility/facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional member experiences, efficient business operations, staff leadership, and achievement of operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with a passion for health, wellness, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Operational Management Oversee day-to-day gym/studio operations to ensure smooth and efficient performanceMaintain facility cleanliness, safety, and operational standardsManage opening and closing procedures and ensure compliance with company policiesMonitor inventory levels for fitness equipment, supplies, retail products, and amenitiesCoordinate equipment maintenance and vendor relationships Team Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise front desk staff, trainers, and support personnelFoster a positive, high-performance team cultureConduct employee performance reviews and provide coaching and developmentEnsure staff compliance with operational procedures and customer service standards Member Experience Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve member concerns promptlySupport member retention initiatives and community engagement effortsMonitor member feedback and implement service improvementsEnsure a welcoming, inclusive, and motivating environment Financial & Administrative Oversight Assist with budgeting, payroll, and expense managementTrack key performance indicators (KPIs) including membership growth, retention, revenue, and labor costsPrepare operational reports and analyze business performanceSupport sales goals and membership promotions Compliance & Safety Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulationsMaintain emergency procedures and incident reporting processesEnforce cleanliness, sanitation, and risk management standards Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or related field preferred3-5 years of management experience in fitness, hospitality, retail, or service industriesStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsExperience managing teams and operational budgetsProficiency with scheduling, POS, CRM, and membership management systemsCPR/AED certification preferred Desired Skills Strong customer service mindsetAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentData-driven decision-making abilitiesConflict resolution and team-building skillsPassion for fitness, wellness, and community engagement Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsComfortable working in an active fitness environment
