About this position

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance for overall safety and operation of all warehouse activities, inventory management, and machinery maintenance
- Recognition, knowledge, and understanding of various coating specifications, steel grades, and material properties specific to Western Coating’s product line
- Management of all facility production operations including raw material receiving, warehousing, and delivery
- Coordinating logistics including company-owned tractors, trailers, and third-party haulage
- Collaboration with Sales to achieve efficient production levels
- Training, development, and coaching of production employees
- Applying Lean principles through continuous improvement
- Promoting and facilitating timely communication with internal and external customers and between shop fabrication, field placing, detailing, and project coordination
- Ensuring safe work practices are implemented and observed by all employees and non-employees at all times while inside the production premises
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior knowledge of rebar fabrication equipment including shear lines, tabletop benders, vertical automatic benders, radius bending, spiral, Lenton threading, and Barsplice headed bar
- Prior knowledge of powder coating equipment including material handling, blast cleaning, induction heating, and powder application
- Computer skills using Microsoft Office tools and aSa production software
- Knowledge of crane operation and certifications, and safe operation
- Knowledge of employee, facility, and environmental safety and OSHA regulations
- Knowledge of DOT equipment and driver requirements
- Able to effectively manage a team of up to approximately 50 individuals
